Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Zack Greinke ($10,200 on FanDuel): Greinke comes in as the second most expensive pitcher on the slate, but has a far better matchup compared to Hyun-jin Ryu, who is the most expensive option and up against a surging Washington Nationals. Greinke is up against the Miami Marlins, who are a team we've picked on all season long and that isn't going to be stopping tonight. Miami is carrying a 25.5% strikeout rate versus right-handed pitchers this season, which is the fifth-worst in the league. This will allow Greinke to continue his streak of six strikeouts or more in five straight starts. The Marlins are also carrying a .122 ISO (30th in the league) and a 75 wRC+ (29th in the league) versus right-handed pitchers this season, making this one of the softest matchups on the slate. Greinke has been borderline elite this season -- which is why his name is popping up before the trade deadline -- with his 3.61 xFIP, 23.7% strikeout rate and only allowing a 35.4% hard-hit rate.
