4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 7/18/19

Thursday brings about the smallest main slate we've seen all week, but we won't have any problem finding viable stacks on another hitter-friendly slate. Over half of tonight's 14 teams have implied totals of 4.70 or better this evening.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

Houston Astros

After returning from the injured list after the break, we have Matt Harvey back in our DFS lives to pick on, and he doesn't figure to stand much of a chance against the mighty Houston Astros.

Harvey has sorry numbers across the board, posting a 5.54 SIERA, 16.0% strikeout rate, and 10.1% walk rate over his 11 starts, all of which resembles the punching bag Harvey was in 2017 rather than the guy who made modest strides upon joining the Cincinnati Reds last season.

His batted-ball numbers tell a similar story, allowing a 41.6% hard-hit rate and 41.3% ground-ball rate that's led to 1.84 dingers per nine innings.

With Harvey getting smashed on either side of the plate, you can pretty much roll with anyone in this deep Astros lineup. Particularly, if you opt a cheap pitcher like Tanner Roark ($7,400), you'll be able to grab some combination of George Springer ($4,500), Jose Altuve ($3,900), Alex Bregman ($4,200), Michael Brantley ($3,800), and Yordan Alvarez ($4,100).

Meanwhile, Yulieski Gurriel ($3,900) has been on quite a tear since the start of June, boasting a .298 ISO off a 44.1% hard-hit rate and 41.3% fly-ball rate. Given his career .170 ISO, he isn't likely to keep up that torrid pace, but he should certainly have our attention while he's mashing like this.

And if some salary relief is needed, Josh Reddick ($2,800) and Robinson Chirinos ($2,900) check-in at more palatable prices.
