4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 6/5/19

Yesterday proved to be a wild night for offense, and of all teams, it was the Miami Marlins that blew up for 16 runs against the Milwaukee Brewers. While we shouldn't expect that to happen for a second night in a row, this is another slate with a fair number of high implied totals and intriguing matchups that could lead to some high-scoring affairs.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Premium members can use our stacking feature to customize their stacks within their optimal lineups for the day, choosing the team you want to stack and how many players you want to include. You can also check out our hitting heat map, which provides an illustration of which offenses have the best combination of matchup and potency.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

Milwaukee Brewers

Although the Brewers were on the wrong end of that shocking performance by the Marlins, they have a good chance to turn the tables against Sandy Alcantara tonight.

Alcantara has posted a 5.49 SIERA, 15.0% strikeout rate, and 11.4% walk rate in 2019, and it wasn't like he was much better over six starts last year (5.42 SIERA). Despite all that, the 23-year-old surprisingly has a 3.89 ERA over 106.1 career innings, but given all his poor peripherals, it looks to mostly be the result of a .272 BABIP, and it's more likely than not this number rises as his innings accumulate.

Miller Park is also a sizable hitter-friendly park factor shift compared to Marlins Park, something Miami's offense helped demonstrate in Tuesday's offensive outburst.

Although we're talking about a small sample, Alcantara also has some particularly wretched numbers against left-handed batters, owning a 12.5% strikeout rate and 14.8% walk rate over 61 career innings in the split. The Brewers certainly aren't lacking in batters who can take advantage across the pricing spectrum, including Christian Yelich ($4,900), Mike Moustakas ($4,000), Yasmani Grandal ($3,600), Eric Thames ($3,000), and Travis Shaw ($2,200).

With a slate-high 5.47 implied total, the Brewers do figure to be a popular stack tonight, so be sure to be contrarian in other ways when stacking this spot.
