FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 5/28/19

Nolan Arenado and the Rockies will be popular, but they should be in for a big night against Merrill Kelly. Who else should you look to roster on Tuesday?

All 30 teams are in action on Tuesday's slate, which gets things started at a slightly earlier lock time of 6:35 p.m. ET. It's quite the doozy of a hitting slate, too, with a good chunk of teams exceeding five implied runs, led by the always enticing Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Note that weather could also factor into a few spots tonight, with tonight's game in Boston looking particularly dicey.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Matt Boyd ($10,200 on FanDuel): As noted at the top, this is very much a hitter-centric slate because despite going 15 games deep, there isn't really a hands-down must-have hurler tonight. Stephen Strasburg ($10,600) is arguably the best arm on the board, but he draws a mediocre road matchup against the Braves, particularly with high temperatures expected in Atlanta. On the other hand, Matt Boyd has put up similar numbers to Strasburg and gets a more palatable matchup against the Orioles. Boyd owns a 3.32 SIERA, 29.6% strikeout rate and 5.2% walk rate this season, while Baltimore's active roster has an appealing 25.4% strikeout rate against southpaws. It's worth acknowledging that the Orioles haven't been complete pushovers in the split (103 wRC+), and it should also be hot at Camden Yards, too, so we can't rule out a couple runs coming across. But even so, Boyd should get his punchouts one way or another and has more upside than most on this slate.
