FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 4/2/19

With most rotations coming back to the front of the line on Tuesday, our pitching options return to some normalcy with a number of surefire aces to choose from. Not surprisingly, that does limit our offenses somewhat, but Houston and Toronto once again lead the way with the evening's highest implied totals.

High-Priced Pitchers

Max Scherzer ($11,700 on FanDuel): Max Scherzer sure didn't disappoint on Opening Day against the Mets, racking up 12 strikeouts and allowing just 2 earned runs over 7 2/3 innings on his way to 57 FanDuel points. Much like peak Clayton Kershaw, we've reached the point where Scherzer is practically a must-start when he takes the mound, and a matchup at home against the Phillies shouldn't sway us. Philadelphia's active roster posted a solid 104 wRC+ versus righties in 2018 but also struck out at a 22.9% clip. While it isn't a perfect spot, Scherzer shouldn't have any trouble finding his usual allotment of punchouts, and on a cool evening in Washington, the Phillies have a slate-low 3.08 implied total. The only trouble is some rain could potentially throw a wrench into things, but lucky for us, if the situation becomes too risky, we have fine alternatives right below Scherzer.
