FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Friday 9/21/18

With the Yankees owning the highest implied total of the slate against Yefry Ramirez, is it the right night to deploy Aaron Judge? Who else should we consider on Friday's main slate?

The penultimate week of the baseball regular season nears its close, as Friday's main slate brings us 14 games to sink our teeth into. There's no shortage of appealing arms, with the likes of Jacob deGrom, Gerrit Cole, and German Marquez all taking the mound. On offense, the New York Yankees, Seattle Mariners, and Texas Rangers stand out, although keep tabs on some potentially dicey weather in Arlington.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Gerrit Cole ($10,800 on FanDuel): You'll get no argument here if you want to roll with Jacob deGrom ($12,100) against the Washington Nationals, who has been absolutely fantastic all season, but at least in cash games, it might be wise to opt for the cheaper Gerrit Cole instead. There's little to quibble about when looking at Cole's marks, with an elite 2.93 SIERA and 34.7% strikeout rate, and the matchup against the Los Angeles Angels is better than you might expect. Although the Angels may have strong hitting numbers for the season, this isn't exactly the same lineup they began the year with, and they've posted an attackable 84 wRC+ and 23.0% strikeout rate over the last 30 days. Los Angeles has one of the lowest implied totals on the board (3.25), and Cole is one of the safer ways to go tonight.
