FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Friday 8/17/18
We wrap up the work week with a 14-game main slate jam-packed with stud hurlers and juicy hitting spots, and as luck would have it, there should be enough value to tap into both. Another hot evening in Arlington bring the Rangers and Angels to the forefront, along with some familiar faces in the Indians, Red Sox, Nationals, and Yankees.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
Max Scherzer ($12,200 on FanDuel): The Miami Marlins have been a target for our pitchers all week, but we could be in for a real treat with Max Scherzer taking the mound tonight. Mad Max is enjoying another brilliant campaign, sporting a 2.70 SIERA, 34.6% strikeout rate and 6.1% walk rate, and he's rattled off double-digit punchouts in three of the last four games. This unimposing Marlins squad is putting up a meager 83 wRC+ against righties this year, and are showing a slate-low 2.87 implied team total. It's a hefty salary to dole out for Scherzer, but he's well worth it as tonight's top play.
