FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Sunday 7/1/18
J.A. Happ has been superb this season, and he draws a dope matchup with the Tigers. Which other players should you target on Sunday's main slate?

The beauty of daily fantasy baseball is that the top targets are different each and every day. Whether it's the right-handed catcher who destroys left-handed pitching or the mid-range hurler facing a depleted lineup, you're not going to find yourself using the same assets time after time.

While this breaks up the monotony, it can make it hard to decide which players are primed to succeed on a given day. We can help bridge that gap.

In addition to our custom optimal lineups, you can check out our batting and pitching heat maps, which show the pieces in the best spot to succeed on that slate. Put on the finishing touches with our games and lineups page to see who's hitting where and what the weather looks like, and you'll have yourself a snazzy-looking team to put up some big point totals.

If you need help getting started on that trek, here are some of the top options on the board today. We'll be focusing exclusively on the main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

J.A. Happ ($9,400 on FanDuel): Happ and Charlie Morton are the top two cash-game arms on today's main slate, and Happ is $1,000 less than Morton. In his age-35 season, Happ is putting together a career-best campaign with a 3.43 SIERA, 27.0% strikeout rate, 6.9% walk rate and 10.1% swinging-strike rate. The Detroit Tigers own the seventh-best wOBA (.333) against lefties, but their overall wOBA over the last 30 days is a meager .275, the second-worst in baseball. The Tigers have a mere 3.69 implied total, the second-lowest of the slate, and we project Happ for 34.6 FanDuel points.
