FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Wednesday 6/13/18

Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees are poised to pile up the runs against an inexperienced Erick Fedde tonight. Who else should we consider on Wednesday's main slate?

Nine games make up Wednesday's main slate, and we have a tough decision to make at the top of the pitcher list between Gerrit Cole and Trevor Bauer. On the hitting side, the New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds check in as tonight's top offenses. The Cleveland Indians also have a high implied team total, but Dylan Covey has proven to be a more difficult matchup this year, so proceed with some caution.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered! And don't forget to take a listen to The Solo Shot podcast with Jim Sannes, who breaks down the MLB daily fantasy slate each day.

On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Trevor Bauer ($10,200 on FanDuel): Trevor Bauer showed some promising improvements over the course of 2017, and could now be in the midst of a full breakout this season. Bauer holds an impressive 3.18 SIERA and 30.3% strikeout rate, displaying a significant leap in swinging-strike rate (12.8%) compared to his career norms (9.4%). He's allowed a fair amount of hard contact (38.7%) and may be experiencing some good fortune in an abnormally low home-run-to-fly-ball rate (6.6%), but that's nitpicking in an enticing matchup against the whiffin' Chicago White Sox. An overmatched Adam Plutko made the Pale Hose look like world-beaters on Tuesday, but this is still a bunch that's posted a 24.5% strikeout rate against righties. When factoring in both the opponent and price, Bauer arguably gets the edge over Gerrit Cole in cash.
