FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Sunday 4/15/18

This slate is loaded with top-tier pitchers, although it looks like rain could play a big role today. Which players are in a good spot?

The beauty of daily fantasy baseball is that the top targets are different each and every day. Whether it's the right-handed catcher who destroys left-handed pitching or the mid-range hurler facing a depleted lineup, you're not going to find yourself using the same assets time after time.

While this breaks up the monotony, it can make it hard to decide which players are primed to succeed on a given day. We can help bridge that gap.

In addition to our custom optimal lineups, you can check out our batting and pitching heat maps, which show the pieces in the best spot to succeed on that slate. Put on the finishing touches with our games and lineups page to see who's hitting where and what the weather looks like, and you'll have yourself a snazzy-looking team to put up some big point totals.

If you need help getting started on that trek, here are some of the top options on the board today. We'll be focusing exclusively on the main slate.

Like yesterday, weather may be a factor in several games. The Twins-White Sox game has already been postponed, so make sure you're up to date on each game's weather situation before locking in your lineup.

Pitchers to Target

High-Priced Pitchers

Corey Kluber ($11,400 on FanDuel): The pitching on this slate was already ridiculously loaded, and that was before Kluber's Saturday start got washed out by weather. This may end up being one of the best pitching slates of the season, and Kluber is the top option, per our models, which have him projected for 44.4 FanDuel points (4.0 more than any other hurler). He's coming off a 73.0-FanDuel-point effort in his last start, a game in which he fanned 13, and the Toronto Blue Jays have the fifth-highest strikeout rate (24.9%) along with the day's lowest implied total (2.78). The only point of caution here is the weather -- something that will be a factor in several games today -- as rain is in the forecast in Cleveland.

Editor's note: Since publication, the Indians-Blue Jays game has been cancelled.
