MLB Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 6/17/17
The beauty of daily fantasy baseball is that the top targets are different each and every day. Whether it's the right-handed catcher who destroys left-handed pitching or the mid-range hurler facing a depleted lineup, you're not going to find yourself using the same assets time after time.
While this breaks up the monotony, it can make it hard to decide which players are primed to succeed on a given day. We can help bridge that gap.
In addition to our custom optimal lineups, you can check out our batting and pitching heat maps, which show the pieces in the best spot to succeed on that slate. Put on the finishing touches with our games and lineups page to see who's hitting where and what the weather looks like, and you'll have yourself a snazzy looking team to put up some big point totals.
If you need help getting started on that trek, here are some of the top options on the board today. Because today's main slate features just four games, we're going to switch things up and focus on the early-only slate, which includes the nine games that start between 4:05 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. EST.
Pitchers to Target
Stephen Strasburg ($10,900 on FanDuel): Strasburg has a sweet road matchup against the New York Mets. Not only is the Mets' 3.64 implied total the lowest mark of the slate, it's the lone implied total under 4.2. The Washington Nationals' flamethrower owns a 28.5% strikeout rate and 6.6% walk rate overall, and his strikeout rate spikes to 32.4% since May 1st. He also gets a park boost today as Citi Field sits 27th in park factor over the last three years. Add it all up, and Strasburg is the slate's top projected hurler, with our models forecasting him to score 35.8 FanDuel points.
