4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 8/3/16
Corey Seager will likely be the most popular shortstop option for his game at Coors, but Brandon Crawford is also an excellent play. Who else will may go overlooked?

Cole Hamels, P, Texas Rangers

FanDuel Price: $10,300

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

The Orioles are projected for 4.3 runs against Cole Hamels, according to Vegas, which is the 10th-highest total on the slate. With Johnny Cueto in a much better spot, Hamels will likely go overlooked.

Why You Should Use Him:

The Orioles are thought of as a scary matchup for lefties because they have so many right-handed bats, but they have not hit lefties well this season. They rank 25th in wOBA against southpaws on the year while posting a 21.7% strikeout rate, which is the 14th-highest clip in the league.

Hamels has three consecutive wins and is coming off of a dominant 8-inning, 12-strikeout performance. He has his ERA down to 2.84 on the season.

Hamels is tough to recommend in cash games, because Baltimore does have the ability to put up runs in a hurry. However, he could be in for sneaky production as a tournament play.
