Another lefty to target against Yordano Ventura and his 4.81 SIERA is Joey Gallo.

As I mentioned already, Ventura has been awful against left-handed hitters with a 5.18 xFIP on the year, and Gallo has shown major promise, especially against right-handed pitching.

While Gallo has spent most of this season in Triple-A, he has an impressive .965 OPS in 213 plate appearances against right-handed pitching in the minors this year. He has also shown serious power against righties in his short time in the majors with a 45.0% hard-hit rate, .263 ISO and 5 home runs in 89 plate appearances.

As a young, unproven bat, you can get Gallo for incredibly cheap, but he also offers tremendous upside in this matchup.
