Steven Wright’s pace has slowed since his red-hot start, and his SIERA has climbed to 4.46.

He’s been flames in July, though, albeit a small sample of just 17 innings. This month, he’s allowing just a 24.1% hard-hit rate while inducing a sparkling 31.5% soft-hit rate.

Wright has a nice home matchup against the Minnesota Twins. Minnesota sits 19th in wOBA (.313) and 22nd in strikeout rate (22.2%). Fenway Park is a hitter-friendly environment, but the Twins’ strikeout rate jumps to 25.1% on the road.
