Jaime Garcia has so much going for him tonight. He’s good, he has a great matchup, and he’s really cheap. Those three things make him really hard to forgo.

Garcia, who sports a 3.99 SIERA, gets a home matchup with the San Diego Padres. The Cardinals’ lefty has been really good at Busch Stadium this year, holding hitters to a .276 wOBA in his home outings. That’s been the case for his entire career, too, as batters have just a .277 wOBA off Garcia when he’s pitching in St. Louis.

The Padres rank 27th in wOBA (.304), 17th in ISO (.160), and 29th in whiff rate (24.5%). San Diego’s implied total of 3.67 runs is the main slate’s lowest mark.

All of that makes Garcia our top-ranked arm with a projected point total of 33.24 points.
