Jordan Zimmermann, P, Detroit Tigers

FanDuel Price: $8,700

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Jordan Zimmermann has allowed 30 runs over his last 41.2 innings and is unlikely to be a popular option with Madison Bumgarner and John Lackey both in good spots.

Why You Should Use Him:

Zimmermann has really struggled recently. There is no denying that. Even with his recent struggles, he's been able to top 30 FanDuel points in five of his last seven starts, though. His strikeout numbers have been way down, which has limited his upside, but we saw earlier this week with Rick Porcello what a matchup against the Rays can do for a right-hander.

Tampa Bay isn't thought of as one of the best matchups for a pitcher like the Braves, Padres, or Phillies of the world, but they have been one of the best teams to target in tournaments all year due to their free-swinging ways. While they rank just 25th in wOBA against right-handed pitching, what makes this matchup really enticing is their 25.1 percent strikeout rate against righties -- the second-highest mark in the league.

The Rays have also dealt with a litany of injuries recently, which has rendered them even more inept at the plate. Over their last 13 games, Tampa Bay has a 2-11 record and has averaged just 3.4 runs per game. They scored two or fewer runs in six of those games.

Zimmermann is far from a cash game option with Bumgarner on the slate, but he is worth a look as a low-owned, salary-saving tournament option.
