John Jaso, 1B, Pittsburgh Pirates

John Jaso isn't having a great year from the plate, but he has been decent against right-handed pitching, with a .291/.363/.417 slash. The success against righties isn't much of a surprise, as he owns a .351 wOBA and .152 isolated slugging against righties, and his 13.5 percent strikeout rate is also right around his career average.

Jeff Samardzija will be starting against the Pirates, and he has a 4.12 xFIP against left-handed hitters this season, which is following up a 4.70 in 2015. Likely hitting leadoff in a promising matchup, Jaso offers some nice value tonight.
