The Oakland Athletics have a terrific matchup tonight against the Texas Rangers and their struggling lefty Derek Holland.

Holland had what might have been the worst season of his career in 2015, posting career-worsts with a 4.43 SIERA and 16.7 percent strikeout rate, and he's playing even worse this season, with a 5.24 SIERA and 13.1 percent strikeout rate. He has been especially bad against right-handed hitters this season, posting a 5.66 xFIP.

Billy Butler has a career .197 isolated slugging and .378 wOBA against left-handed pitching, and even in the midst of a down-year, he has been hitting lefties well with a .333/.389/.500 slash and .374 wOBA. He should thrive tonight with such a favorable matchup.
