Anthony DeSclafani, SP, Cincinnati Reds

FanDuel Price: $6,400

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Despite having an awesome matchup tonight, Anthony DeSclafani isn't well-enough known to be a popular play with names like Noah Syndergaard, Chris Sale, and Corey Kluber on the slate. Marco Estrada will likely be a popular play against the Philadelphia Phillies, too. The Atlanta Braves are projected for 4.3 runs against DeSclafani, which is the seventh-highest on tonight's slate. All things considered, he likely will not be an overly-popular target for daily fantasy players tonight.

Why You Should Use Him:

DeSclafani allowed just one earned run in his first start since returning from an oblique injury. After posting a solid 3.97 xFIP in 184.2 innings last season, he will look to continue to prove that he is a serviceable Major League talent in tonight's matchup with the lowly Braves.

Atlanta ranks dead last in wRC+ against right-handed pitching this season and has a pathetic .098 isolated slugging.

Atlanta has a relatively low strikeout rate, and DeSclafani isn't a big-strikeout pitcher, so his upside isn't overly exciting in this matchup. What is exciting is the lineup you can put together with the salary saved by rostering him as opposed to one of the top-priced guys. If you don't believe in the top options -- or simply cannot fit them in -- DeSclafani is a terrific option tonight.
