5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Studs to Target on 6/14/16
Paul Goldschmidt has been straight flames in June, posting an absurd 50.0% hard-hit rate. What other high-priced players are worth a look today?

Madison Bumgarner, P, San Francisco Giants

FanDuel Price: $11,900

Madison Bumgarner has been an incredibly productive and durable workhorse for the San Francisco Giants since his first full season in 2011. Over the past five years, he’s thrown at least 200 innings in each season and has recorded a SIERA over 3.33 just once.

He’s putting up career-best strikeout numbers this year, posting a 28.0% strikeout rate. He’ll have a good chance to rack up the whiffs tonight in a home start against the Milwaukee Brewers, who own baseball’s second-worst strikeout rate (24.9%).

Not only is AT&T Park a pitcher-friendly environment -- 28th in park factor and last in home run factor, per ESPN’s Park Factors -- but Milwaukee has struggled on the road this season. The Brewers boast a .757 OPS at Miller Park compared to a .683 OPS away from home.

With a projected FanDuel point total of 40.17, Bumgarner is our top-ranked hurler for the main slate. We project him to allow 1.95 earned runs on 5.55 hits and 1.61 walks while punching out 6.30 hitters in 6.72 innings of work. Milwaukee’s implied total of 2.56 runs is the day’s lowest mark.
