Chase Utley is having a decent year from the plate, posting a .268/.352/.405 slash with a .333 wOBA, but he really shines against right-handed pitchers, against whom he's posted a .368 wOBA and .158 ISO on the year, numbers that are fairly consistent with his career averages.

Today's matchup is appealing for more than just the pitcher being a righty because Tyler Chatwood is struggling a lot more than his numbers might indicate on the surface.

Despite owning a career-best 2.99 ERA, Chatwood's SIERA sits at 4.18 on the season, and his strikeout rate is an unimpressive 15.5 percent. He has also struggled with lefties over his career, allowing a .339 wOBA with a 4.58 xFIP.
