After a rocky debut, Lance McCullers has pitched very well -- allowing less than three runs in three straight starts. He's been putting up incredible strikeout numbers during that stretch, too, posting 13.5 strikeouts per nine innings.

His xFIP of 3.52 is right in line with last season's 3.50 xFIP, which suggests that his 4.79 ERA this season is a factor of bad luck (.367 BABIP) and a small sample size.

McCullers will make just one start this week, but his matchup with the Rays offers him more than enough upside to make him worth a stream, even in weekly leagues. Tampa Bay ranks 20th in wOBA against righties, but what's even more exciting is their free-swinging approach at the plate.

The Rays' 25.8% strikeout rate against righties ranks second in the league. Combine that with McCullers' impressive strikeout numbers, and the Astros' starter offers immense potential.
