5 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 6/3/16
With a plethora of enticing pitching options, Drew Pomeranz is likely to go overlooked, despite a favorable home matchup. Who else will fly under the radar?

Vince Velasquez, P, Philadelphia Phillies

FanDuel Price: $9,000

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Noah Syndergaard is going to be a popular choice against the Marlins, and if people pay down, it will likely be for Kenta Maeda against the Braves. Vincent Velasquez has struggled in back to back starts and is unlikely to be a popular option.

Why You Should Use Him:

While Velasquez has struggled in his last two starts, his upside is undeniable. A matchup against the free-swinging Brewers certainly may be enough to help him realize that potential.

In addition to ranking just 20th in wRC+ against right-handed pitching, Milwaukee's 26.7 percent strikeout rate against righties is the highest mark in the league. Milwaukee's 10.2 percent swinging strike rate ranks ninth in the league, too, which bodes well for Velasquez, who has an 11.5 percent swinging strike rate.

There's certainly some risk attached to this pick -- Velasquez's last three starts have went just 4.2 innings on average. However, his strikeout potential is worth a look in tournaments.
