4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 6/2/16
Mark Teixeira has big upside against Matt Boyd and the Tigers tonight. Who else should you target for big time fantasy value?

Mark Teixeira, 1B, New York Yankees

FanDuel Price: $2,600

One of the first things that jumps out when looking at Mark Teixeira in this matchup is that he's yet to hit a home run against a left-handed pitcher this year. While that seems like a negative on the surface, that goose-egg comes alongside a 40.8 percent hard-hit rate and 32.7 percent fly ball rate against lefties and has a lot more to do with variance than it does with the way he's hitting.

Taking the mound for the Tigers today is lefty Matt Boyd, who hasn't had an impressive start to his Major League career through 15 games. He's sporting a 4.66 SIERA while allowing a 51.9 percent fly ball and 33.2 percent hard-hit rate, leading to his giving up 2.55 home runs per nine.

Teixeira has been inconsistent on the season and isn't a particularly safe or high-floor play, but he has huge upside tonight, making him an intriguing play with his low price tag.
