5 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 5/30/16
With several appealing top-end pitching options, Ian Kennedy is likely to go overlooked in an excellent matchup against the Rays. Who else will fly under the radar?

Ian Kennedy, SP, Kansas City Royals

FanDuel Price: $8,100

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Due to some bad luck with the weather, Ian Kennedy's most recent start was cut short, and as a result, two of his last three starts have went for less than 20 FanDuel points. On the all-day slate, Kennedy will lose ownership to Jeff Samardzija and Jose Quintana, and even within his own slate, he'll likely lose ownership to Tanner Roark.

Why You Should Use Him:

Kennedy has had some inconsistency this season, but his ERA still sits at a very respectable 3.38 through nine starts. He has shown big strikeout upside too, posting a 24.2% strikeout rate.

What's most exciting about Kennedy's prospects, though, is his matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays. Not often thought of in the same group as some of the league's worst offenses such as Atlanta, San Diego or Philadelphia, Tampa Bay has actually offered more upside to opposing right-handed starters this season, thanks to their free-swinging ways.

The Rays own the league's 20th-ranked wOBA against righties, but their strikeout rate of 25.8% ranks second in the league. Kennedy has similar price-adjusted upside to any of today's options, and he will likely be under-owned, making him one of the most appealing tournament options available.
