4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/29/16
David Freese has nice upside against Martin Perez and the Rangers today. Who else with a cheap price tag can put up big numbers?

Welington Castillo, C, Arizona Diamondbacks

FanDuel Price: $2,800

Welington Castillo is putting together one of the best seasons of his career with a .265/.313/.463 slash line. His fantasy value is always higher against a left-handed pitcher as he owns a career .369 wOBA and .210 ISO against lefties. That makes his matchup with southpaw Drew Pomeranz today an interesting one.

Pomeranz has posted some outstanding numbers to start the season, with a 1.70 ERA and 28.3 percent strikeout rate, but you shouldn't let that scare you off too much. Pomeranz's career average strikeout rate is 21.9%, and he's never finished a season with a clip better than a 23.0%. He also has a 3.81 SIERA, meaning he's unlikely to sustain his production.

The matchup isn't as scary as it may look on the surface, and Castillo is having an excellent season. He also has the added bonus of playing at hitter-friendly Chase Field tonight, putting him in a great spot.
