Max Scherzer, Washington Nationals

FanDuel Price: $9,100

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Scherzer allowed seven runs in his most recent game and his ERA is now up to 4.60. With John Lackey facing the Padres and Jerad Eickhoff facing the Braves, it's highly unlikely that Scherzer is a popular option.

Why You Should Use Him:

Scherzer has seen his price drop nearly $3,000 over his past four starts, and he comes into today's start as just the fourth-most expensive pitcher.

While he has struggled, his peripherals don't point towards a decline in skill. He remains one of -- if not the -- most talented pitcher on the slate. Even with his slow start, he has shown the ability to have a big game, as evidenced by his 60 FanDuel point performance just two starts ago.

His opponent today, the Detroit Tigers, rank 10th in wOBA against righties, but they also have a 24.4 percent strikeout rate, the sixth-highest in the Majors.

He's not a cash game option, but it's hard to ignore his upside in tournaments at his depressed price tag.
