Charlie Morton, Pittsburgh Pirates

Yahoo Ownership: 13%

Charlie Morton is most effective when his fastball is moving and low in the strike zone. The pitch-to-contact right-hander gets a chance to redeem himself after a mediocre start last week with a home start against the Milwaukee Brewers Wednesday.

After facing one of the tougher teams to get to miss pitches, Morton gets to face a Brewers lineup that averages 7.85 strikeouts per road game while walking a meager 2.0 times per contest. The Minnesota Twins are the only team with a lower road on-base percentage than the Brewers. Milwaukee’s 0.98 groundball-to-fly ball ratio (G/F) is the eighth highest in the Majors, and their 21 double plays hit into ranks in the top half of baseball.

The Brew Crew may have had a nice weekend series against the Twins in Minnesota this weekend, but to expect one of the worst teams in baseball to continue against the Pirates would be foolish. The Pirates are 15-9 at home in 2015.
