Wei-Yin Chen, Baltimore Orioles

Wei-Yin Chen's lone start this week comes Friday at home against the Tampa Bay Rays, a team that he's fared well against. The wins have been tough to come by (3-4 record in 13 starts), but Chen sports a 3.26 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and has allowed a home run every 7.71 innings pitched against the Rays (second-lowest rate vs AL East teams).

The Rays have struck out 7.7 times per road game this season, on par with 2014's 7.8 clip, and are due for an adjustment in their slugging percentage and home run rates. The offense is averaging one home run per road game (0.81 in 2014) and slugging 43 points higher. Trusting the surge in power is not advisable because Tampa Bay was hitting a very mediocre .229 against left-handed pitching this season before collecting 13 hits off of Mark Buehrle Sunday. A repeat outburst is unlikely considering Chen's success against the Rays lineup.

In 2015, Chen has yet to earn a decision, but has allowed batters to hit .170 with a 4.5 strikeout-to-walk ratio (1.0 away from Camden Yards).
