3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/2/19

Jackie Bradley Jr., OF, Boston Red Sox

Price: $2,300

There are only two games on tonight's main slate, which makes getting exposure to the top offenses especially important.

The Boston Red Sox stand apart from the pack, with a 4.89-run implied total that is 0.26 runs ahead of the next-best team and a full run more than today's two underdogs. Chicago White Sox righty Lucas Giolito, despite the improvement he's showing in 2019, is still sporting a mediocre 4.14 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) showing an awful 12.5% walk rate.

Jackie Bradley has been hitting poorly this year, but he's also notched 12-plus FanDuel points in four of his last 10 games. Hitting in the high-powered Boston offense gives him big potential for runs and RBI, making him more valuable in fantasy than his production might otherwise indicate.

We can also expect his production to improve moving forward. He's got a lowly .230 batting average on balls in play (BABIP), compared to a .295 career average, despite the fact that he's sporting a 35.5% hard-hit rate and 11.3% soft-hit rate.
