Gregory Polanco, OF, Pittsburgh Pirates

Price: $2,800

if you're not getting as close to the minimum salary with your value plays, you can also get treated to some more inspiring stats.

Gregory Polanco only has a .304 wOBA this season, but that's over an essentially meaningless 23 plate appearance sample. Last year, in 535 plate appearances, he turned a 34.0% hard-hit rate and 48.0% fly-ball rate into a .353 wOBA and .245 ISO.

His numbers are especially promising against right-handed pitching, and going back to the start of last season, he owns a .360 wOBA and .259 ISO with the platoon advantage (405 plate appearances).

He shouldn't have a tough time producing tonight, as he gets the platoon advantage against Texas Rangers righty Adrian Sampson. Sampson's only played in six games this season (two starts), but in that time he's struggled to the tune of a 5.19 SIERA -- not hugely different than his 4.94 career average over 49 2/3 innings. He's also conceding a career 39.3% hard-hit rate and 39.8% fly-ball rate, and the Pittsburgh Pirates offense is a good place to hunt for upside tonight.
