Look, there may be no bigger fan boy of Cleveland Indians starter Trevor Bauer. The dude is a boss and a bonafide ace, and has been brilliant to start 2019.

But his matchup tonight with the Houston Astros is a bit scary. For starters, the 'Stros absolutely bomb right-handed starting pitching. They've posted a .349 team wOBA mark, including a .200 isolated power (ISO) that ranks 10th in baseball.

They also don't provide the strikeout upside that we usually want. In this split, Houston strikes out at the second-lowest rate (18.1%), presumably capping Bauer's ceiling a bit.

As we analyze the main slate tonight, pivoting away from the most expensive arm seems like the logical play.
