We may be using "stud" a bit liberally here, but Domingo German is the stud pitcher to target on the main slate by default. He's the only one priced above even $8,500.

That's not to take away from the value German can offer tonight, though -- not being Max Scherzer doesn't mean you're Marco Estrada.

The New York Yankees are the biggest favorites on the slate by a big margin (-220 moneyline), and the Kansas City Royals' 3.74-run implied total is the second-lowest of the night. This means he's got a great shot of picking up a win and a quality start tonight, offering a really safe fantasy floor.

German's also showing some real strikeout upside. He's opened the season with a 28.0% strikeout rate, which is in line with his 27.2% mark from 21 games last year and his 29.0% from 7 games in 2017. His swinging-strike rate is also sitting at a terrific 14.5% -- right in line with his 14.3% career-average.

Adding that upside with a slate-high projection of 6.6 strikeouts to his strong floor, German's a top pitching option that you can feel good about in all formats today.
