Nelson Cruz, OF, Minnesota Twins

It could be another ho-hum campaign for Nelson Cruz of the Minnesota Twins, as he continues to defy Father Time with a batting average over .300 while having already bopped one home run this year. Dude can mash.

He does face a very stiff test tonight, though, in New York Mets ace Jacob deGrom, who has immediately picked up where he left off from his 2018 NL Cy Young campaign. This year he's posted an absurd .183 wOBA and 45.2% strikeout rate against same-sided bats, which isn't too far off from 2018's .205 wOBA and 35.0% strikeout rate to righties.

Cruz is a staple in most DFS lineup considerations, but with the Mets righty on the mound, it may be a good night to pivot off of him.
