Yu Darvish, SP, Chicago Cubs

On a shortened slate, folks may be tempted to go with Yu Darvish of the Chicago Cubs, but that seems like something we want to avoid.

If Darvish's first start was any indicator, 2019 could be a bit rocky. While he sported a juicy 25.0% strikeout rate in his debut, Darvish walked seven batters while recording just eight outs, firing a first-pitch strike only 43.8% of the time.

Tonight's opponent, the Atlanta Braves, could limit his upside, as well. They rank 19th so far this young season in team strikeout rate (22.2%) and are walking plenty (16.0%) as well as showcasing plenty of pop at the dish with a team isolated power (ISO) of .186 (eighth-best).

None of the pitching options are all that great, but Darvish can't be touched in cash games.
