3 Under-the-Radar MLB FanDuel Plays for 9/26/18
German Marquez may be expensive and pitching at Coors, but he's been throwing like an ace lately, and still makes for a great option in tournaments.

German Marquez, P, Colorado Rockies

FanDuel Price: $10,200

The people have finally taken notice of German Marquez as we near the end of the season, so perhaps he isn't truly "under the radar," but it can't be understated just how good he's been over the past few months.

Since the All-Star break, Marquez has posted a 2.68 SIERA, 32.5% strikeout rate, and 5.3% walk rate, and even at Coors Field, he's managed a pristine 2.10 ERA over that stretch. Those are some truly elite numbers that are pretty much in line with what tonight's top option, Jacob deGrom, has done this season.

Furthermore, Marquez's matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies has added upside, as the Phillies have the fifth-highest strikeout rate of the second half (23.6%).

Marquez could fall victim to that thin Denver air like anyone else, but there's no doubting his upside while he's going like this. This may be a tough salary to dole out for a pitcher at Coors Field, but that should only help keep ownership down in tournaments.
