The Los Angeles Angels don't play in a hitter-friendly venue, but they draw one of the best pitching matchups of the slate against Yovani Gallardo. Gallardo pretty much checks every box for a pitcher we want to attack -- with a 5.51 SIERA, 14.0% strikeout rate, and 11.3% walk rate. He's also allowing a 37.2% hard-hit rate and .385 xwOBA to opposing batters.

Needless to say, even on a Coors Field slate, a spot like this ought to garner some attention, but Shohei Ohtani has seen a sizable price hike from yesterday, and that should keep his popularity in check, especially with teammate Mike Trout already quite expensive at $5,000.

Ohtani is well worth the price of admission, though, owning a 42.3% hard-hit rate, .384 xwOBA, and .283 ISO in a stellar rookie campaign at the plate. With 14 of his 21 dingers coming since the All-Star break, Ohtani is finishing the season on a high note and has a great opportunity to keep things going this evening.
