With a main slate chock full of aces, including Jacob deGrom, Gerrit Cole, Zack Greinke, and German Marquez, do you want to consider paying up for Madison Bumgarner?

It doesn't look like it. Bumgarner has been brilliant in the friendly confines of home, posting a 1.34 ERA over 60 1/3 innings pitched, but he has been blasted on the road for a 5.02 ERA and 4.88 xFIP away from San Francisco.

Right-handed bats have also given him a hard time, tattooing him for a 42.6% hard-hit rate and 36.5% fly-ball rate. Fold in the St. Louis Cardinals ranking sixth in team weighted on-base average (wOBA) against southpaws, and he's not worth the price tonight.
