Perhaps Starling Marte's affordable price tag draws some ownership, but this is still a reminder to not overlook the speedster and his fellow Pittsburgh Pirates in spite of a mediocre 4.40 implied total against Eric Skoglund.

Skoglund hasn't necessarily performed as poorly as his 6.19 ERA would indicate, considering his 4.54 SIERA, but a 17.7% strikeout rate and 43.8% hard-hit rate allowed don't do him any favors, and he's also allowed 1.75 home runs per nine innings. Throw in a .399 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA) allowed to right-handed batters, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the Pirates have a big night. This is also just Skoglund's second start since May after coming off the DL earlier this month.

Marte owns solid career 115 wRC+, and is posting an encouraging .357 xwOBA against left-handers this season. He's also showing a little more power this year (.179 ISO), and the combination of 19 home runs and 32 stolen bases poses some nice upside at such an affordable price. The Pirates are cheap across the board, and make for an intriguing cheap contrarian stack in place of a chalky team like the Tampa Bay Rays.
