Daily Fantasy Baseball: Positive Batted-Ball Regression Candidates for Week 24
Kole Calhoun may have finally cooled from his outrageous summer hot streak, but he remains a surprising advanced-stats monster.

Travis Shaw, 2B, Milwaukee Brewers

Armchair analysts might suggest that Travis Shaw lost his edge after being awkwardly displaced to second-base duties with the Mike Moustakas trade. A glance at his surface stats make even corroborate these assumptions, as the Milwaukee Brewers slugger has an ugly .184 batting average over his last 84 plate appearances.

But Shaw's advanced stats show him to be as locked in as ever at the plate, with 40% hard contact and 4.7% strikeouts minus walks over that span. Shaw looks like a top-tier bat at a mid-tier price this week, a solid value even against respectable righties like Kyle Hendricks, Ivan Nova, and Trevor Williams.
