Juan Soto, OF, Washington Nationals

FanDuel Price: $3,800

Attacking Jhoulys Chacin is always pretty straightforward, because of his far worse splits versus left-handed hitters. Against them, he's posting just a 15.4% strikeout rate and 11.1% walk rate this year, while allowing a 39.1% hard-hit rate. Over the course of his career, he's given up a 4.82 FIP and .336 wOBA in the platoon split.

But with the Washington Nationals getting just a 4.59 implied team total, they're unlikely to see heavy ownership, so we can consider rostering wunderkind Juan Soto as a potential one-off in tournaments.

Soto needs little introduction these days, but over his first 375 plate appearances he's put up a stellar .392 wOBA and .373 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA). Although his 35.2% hard-hit rate and 53.4% ground-ball rate don't move the needle much from a power perspective, it's not often you see a 19-year-old showing his plate discipline, with a 20.5% strikeout rate and 16.5% walk rate. On a night with plenty of high implied team totals to draw away attention, Soto makes for an intriguing contrarian option.
