We have some strong options at the top of the pitching list in Patrick Corbin, Gerrit Cole, and Masahiro Tanaka, so a majority of the ownership will be split amongst those three. But they're also all priced above $10,000, limiting your options on offense if you want to stack a pricey team like the New York Yankees.

With only seven games on the slate, pitching value is a bit hard to come by, but Jon Gray could be worth a look in tournaments against the Los Angeles Angels. The Angels make for a less-than-stellar matchup (111 wRC+ versus righties), so this isn't without plenty of risk, but Gray's numbers are right there with the best on the board, with a 3.35 SIERA, 27.1% strikeout rate and 6.5% walk rate. Angel Stadium is naturally a big upgrade from Coors Field, and the hometown team is getting only a 3.72 implied team total.

Since Gray's brief hiatus in Triple-A, he's now posted a 2.59 ERA and 3.52 FIP with six quality starts over seven outings, which should reaffirm to you that you shouldn't be scared off by his 4.67 season ERA. Gray may not have Cole's punchouts or the plus matchups of Corbin or Tanaka, but given his recent form, it's not outrageous to think he can keep pace at a significant discount.
