Kyle Seager, 3B, Seattle Mariners

Perhaps overlooked in Gerrit Cole's brilliant season is that he has dominated the platoon advantage. Against left-handed batters in 2018, Cole has wiped them out for a 41.5% strikeout rate, .245 wOBA, and 0.81 home runs per nine innings (HR/9).

Kyle Seager, meanwhile, has not enjoyed that level of success against righties. This season, he's smacked them for only a .272 wOBA, largely based on an ugly .197 batting average.

Even though he makes for a decent mid-priced option at the hot corner, Seager is one to avoid tonight.
