While it may be tempting to pivot down at the pitcher slot tonight, Baltimore Orioles pitcher David Hess does not make a great option as he faces the Texas Rangers, who are one of the hottest offenses in baseball.

Over the last two weeks, the Rangers rank third-best in baseball in team weighted on-base average (wOBA, .366) and sixth-best in hard-hit rate (40.0%). In addition, Hess has only generated a 13.5% strikeout rate, while allowing a 48.2% fly-ball rate.

Cheap pitching options can always be tempting, but Hess is one to avoid.
