Tonight's main slate only has 4 games (out of 15 total today), but the Los Angeles Angels are the biggest favorite of any team tonight, with a -215 moneyline. As of writing, we still don't have implied totals for a couple afternoon games, but the Chicago White Sox' 3.50 implied total is the main slate's lowest by a big margin, and looks like it may end up being the day's lowest of them all.

Chicago ranks only 22nd with an 87 wRC+ against left-handed pitching while also striking out at the second-highest rate in the Majors (25.9%). So this is an outstanding spot for Tyler Skaggs.

A position like that makes it easy for Skaggs to be a strong play, but he doesn't have any shortage of encouraging numbers. Over 18 games this season, he has a 3.67 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) as well as a 24.8% strikeout rate on an 11.2% swinging-strike rate -- both career-highs.

Unsurprisingly, numberFire's models project Skaggs as the top-scoring pitcher on tonight's main slate.
