Trevor Bauer, SP, Cleveland Indians

Trevor Bauer is a terrific pitcher and deserving All-Star. Rostering him in daily fantasy is seldom a bad idea, but when he's priced as a low-end ace on a slate like this it can be justified. At $12,200, he is $2,000 more than the next expensive pitcher and far overvalued.

The matchup against the Texas Rangers is more of an average matchup than a strong one. They are 4th on the season in strikeout rate (24.8%), but rank a middling 17th in xwOBA (.339) against right-handed pitching, per Baseball Savant.

And while Bauer's been pitching extraordinarily well this year, he has some negative regression coming. His 2.24 ERA far outpaces his 3.08 SIERA, which is more reflective of his actual pitching performance this season.

Also going against Bauer is his venue. He is pitching in a very offensive-friendly ballpark, and one that will be home to temperatures exceeding 100 degrees tonight.
