Fresh off a dramatic Home Run Derby win, is Bryce Harper poised to put his shaky first half in the rear-view mirror? Who else might go low-owned on Friday night?

Bryce Harper, OF, Washington Nationals

FanDuel Price: $4,200

Bryce Harper put on a memorable performance for the hometown fans in Monday's Home Run Derby, although in typical Harper fashion, it was met with some silly controversy. Regardless, the much-discussed slugger will look for a fresh start of sorts in the second half, following a mixed bag of results thus far. He's shown his usual pop over the course of the season, with 23 dingers and a .254 isolated power (ISO), but he's also slumped badly for much of the summer, posting a .308 wOBA and 31.7% strikeout rate since the beginning of June.

One theory is that Harper has been playing through an injury all this time, but that's awfully hard to imagine after his power display on Monday. And while those punchouts are a concerning sign, Harper is still posting a 41.1% hard-hit rate and .393 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA) this season. He's also displayed just a .226 batting average on balls in play (BABIP), which seems awfully unlucky for a guy making this much hard contact and owning a .314 career BABIP.

In all, we should keep our hopes high for Harper, as he figures to go low-owned against Anibal Sanchez. Sanchez is enjoying some strong results, which does give us some pause, but we're only talking about 65 2/3 innings. Sanchez posted ERA marks of 4.99, 5.87, and 6.41 over the last three seasons, respectively.

Are we to believe he's suddenly a significantly improved pitcher? Have faith in Harper, and target his career 150 wRC+ versus righties in tournaments.
