3 Under-the-Radar MLB FanDuel Plays for 7/12/18

This may very well be one of the stranger slates of 2018, with a total wasteland for offense on a seven-game slate. After all, just look at this lineup of stud pitchers: Max Scherzer, Luis Severino, Corey Kluber, James Paxton, Ross Stripling, and Blake Snell all going on one slate. It's no wonder that the Boston Red Sox are the only team exceeding a 5.00-run implied team total, and no other team even comes close.

The Red Sox are expensive as always, but this almost certainly means they'll be tonight's most popular team in tournaments, with a majority of folks trying to find ways to fit in Mookie Betts or J.D. Martinez.

This could mean the expensive bats from other teams go lower-owned, including Max Muncy against Tyson Ross.

Petco Park is never an exciting venue for bats, but Ross is giving up a 39.1% hard-hit rate and 5.10 FIP to left-handed sticks, and we all know what kind of season Muncy is enjoying. This magical run will end someday, but in the meantime, let's just relish in this ridiculous 45.7% hard-hit rate, .429 wOBA, and .338 isolated power (ISO).

Should the Red Sox disappoint, Muncy has more than proven to have the upside to move you up the leaderboards.
