3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 7/9/18
Nicholas Castellanos has been on fire all year, but he has a tough matchup with Chris Archer. Which other players should you shy away from on Monday's main slate?

Nicholas Castellanos, OF, Detroit Tigers

FanDuel Price: $3,800

Nick Castellanos has been one of the few bright spots for the Detroit Tigers in a year in which the face of the franchise, Miguel Cabrera, is out for the season. Castellanos is slugging .518 and has a .370 wOBA.

Still, he is an avoid for Monday. Castellanos has actually been very average against right-handed pitching in his career, posting just a 101 wRC+ in the split. Another concern is that he was a late scratch Sunday with wrist soreness, and while he's still expected to play Monday, wrist injuries are notorious for sapping power.

Castellanos is also facing a right-handed pitcher who is unforgiving against right-handed bats thanks to high heat and a nasty slider. Chris Archer, the pitcher in question, has held right-handed hitters to a .283 wOBA in his career. This includes a 26.1% strikeout rate, 33.8% fly-ball rate, and 31.4% hard-hit rate.
