Even with only four games on tonight's main slate, we have some pretty strong pitching options -- highlighted by Lance McCullers.
The Houston Astros are the biggest favorites on the main slate (-157 moneyline), and the Tampa Bay Rays have the lowest implied total (3.37 -- 0.4 runs lower than any other team).
The Rays have been decent against right-handed pitching this season, sitting in the middle of the pack with a 97 wRC+, but they're also striking out at an above-average clip (22.7%), opening the door for fantasy production.
McCullers has started 2018 with a 3.68 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), and while that matches his career-worst clip, it's still a very strong mark. The fact that he has consistently been at or better than that mark (with a 3.41 last year, 3.68 in 2016 and 3.57 in 2015) means we should be confident that he's capable of producing at this clip for the long-haul.
He's also continuing to post great strikeout numbers, with a 25.7% strikeout rate (right in line with his 26.3% career average), while his 12.7% swinging-strike rate is on pace to be the second-highest of his career.
